CHARACTERS: The characters looks just amazing. Their anatomy is right there. It's very well paid attention too. I am loving the emotion that is coming from them. It creates a warm feeling. Their facial expressions help create that mood of warm brotherly(assuming they are brothers). Also the fact how they are holding onto each other with those smiles hits the nail on the head.<img class="avatar" src="a.deviantart.net/avatars/g/o/g…" alt="" title="goodjobplz"/>
The characters designs are very nicely thought out. They look simple and peaceful for this kind of moment, which is a nice touch. Just two people(appearing to be brother and brother)that love each other like family. Also their clothing looks perfect for each of them. One more of an teenage-to-young-adult and a child-to-pre-teenage.This is is because the brighter shades of fun colors(like the that lime green)and sporty baseball cap would usually set the tone of a child-like image. While the black coat, jeans, and simplistic color boots(gray) show a adult-like figure. And their hairstyles too. The older one with a stylish cut with partial bangs in his face and the rest swooping away from his face and red tints in it is a great, because it shows his character of being unique and knows-how-to-trendy-guy but yet a simple guy at the same time. While the child's bright ginger hair and hair in the big eyes but nicely kept, shows a child's character of being lively and all the time busy with fun. COLORING/SHADING/OUTLINING TECHNIQUES: The techniques used to outline this is very impressive. Now bulging black lines or smears. Nice. The colors are colored very nicely. You were able to create the shadows, mid-tones, and highlights very well. The light source is easy to find. Where this light source lets us see the characters not under harsh shadows or extreme blaring light,but just in sunny spot somewhere, where it is peaceful. Perfect touch to mood and tone of this piece.
